Alright so I’ve got a pretty interesting issue going on with my 99 tacoma. Whenever I’m holding in the brake pedal and I turn the wheel past a certain point, I feel a click in the brake pedal but not the steering wheel for some reason. I don’t hear anything grinding, whining, or squeaking either. Anyone know what could be going on?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Have you inspected the area in the cab under the dash.

I have seen aftermarket wiring caught on the steering shaft and brake pedal linkage that might cause your issue.

Also possible something came loose is doing the same thing.

Only when the wheel is turned both directions or only one?? When the brakes are applied.

Didn’t think of that. I do have a wire hanging down that goes to a pair of fog lights on my bumper. It feels that way as well when I turn both directions, but it’s slightly stronger when I turn right.

Issue solved. My floor mat was shoved so far up that it was caught between the brake pedal and the steering column
