Unusual noise

So I was driving the other day & I was taking a left turn at a light. While turning I heard a grind noise & then my truck jolted to the right. This happen a few months back & never happened again until now. Any ideas what that could be?

 

ABS pulsating on the right side and locking the wheel for unknown reason ?
I know in snow if the abs pulsates to lock one side of the rear wheel for traction to the opposite side it can sound like a grind.
If this is what is happening it would explain the jerk to the side on the truck.

 

Ya may have hit a shopping cart. I hit em every now and then and they make a hell of a racket. People leaving those things all over the place and with the locking brakes on em they can knock Ya off course. They are hard to spot on the underpasses coming out of the bright sunlight.

 

If you were facing uphill it may have been the Hill Start Assist.
