    I am curious on what you guys think about people Upbadging there Tacoma. Such as an SR putting a TRD OR/Sport Decal, adding 4x4 Badge, etc. I am curious to see the opinions on this forum.

    I'm not a fan. I debadged my entire truck. Looks cleaner in my opinion. But if thats your thing, go for it.

    All 3rd 4wd tacos are very capable. Putting 4x4 badges on a 2wd is kind of silly, but other than that all good:)

    my SR came with one badge. 4x4 on the tailgate. Toyota should bring back that Pre Runner.

    You are right.

    But, you can always customize the badges/stickers to your liking:).

    My guess is that the pre runner wasnt super popular. I barely see 1st and 2ng gen prerunners in my neck of the woods.

    Yes. If you "up badge", you are lying to everyone, including yourself, about what your truck actually is. Most unknowing folks wouldn't tell the difference I suppose. But if I saw something like that, I would ridicule that truck until it left my sight.

    Only if it's done ironically and in a comical form.

    I don't want to be associated with the kinds of people who are fooled by up-badging/impressed by badges... or the kinds of people who up-badge as a serious thing.

    You do you though.

    Strictly in my opinion; individual parts are a separate thing.
    It’s when you start actually trying to pass the thing off as a PRO or ///M or AMG or et cetera with the badges themselves that it becomes ridiculous.
    If you’ve built an SR AC into a full on PRO spec truck, make it naked or leave the SR badges and sleeper the hell out of people.
    That’s just me though. The badges themselves are the lie, the parts are not.
