    Personally, my approach is more toward subtlety.

    I’ve had my OR for 4 years now. Finally settled on the tailgate, but I still can’t decide what I want my badging to look like from the side. I removed the side decals and chrome badges on day 1. But it looks naked with no badges.

    Today I slapped on some Pro-style emblems from . I don’t consider this upbadging, and if aftermarket works better than OEM, go with it. IDK how I feel so far, but I’ll let em ride for a few weeks and rip them back off if they don’t grow on me.

    Again, no.

    The TRD Pro's use of the TOYOTA branded grill is not exclusive. Many vehicles made by Toyota over the years had the company name proudly displayed on the grill. By your logic, the Pro is by definition a factory produced wannabe, pretending to be one of the early highly revered models that built Toyota's reputation.

    Logos and emblems on cars, trucks, motorcycles, beer coolers, gym locker doors and your girlfriend's ass have become part of the "culture" it's ubiquitous at this point. I must be a poser pretending that I'm a huge international rock star when I wear a t-shirt with the infamous Rolling Stones lips emblazoned across the chest.

    If someone putting a TRD badge on a base SR deeply bothers you, I'm thinking you're the one with self esteem problems.

    This reminded me of a gigantic, BRIGHT red Ram I saw a few months ago. Instead of the gigantic "RAM" embossed w/plastic inserts on the tailgate (I think that's how they are,) it said "MAN." I couldn't tell whether the dude was insecure, or super dedicated to mocking insecurity. Either way, I laughed all the way home.

    Edit: I think this is what the original would have been, but the "MAN" letters were almost the full height of the tailgate.

    I removed all badges from my 2016 months after purchasing, and also spray painter the license plate holder black to cover the dealer logo.
    I love the clean simple look. I know it’s a taco and don’t need to advertise it.

    I tried to get a 2021 SR with a rear locker. I almost did it but I couldn't get standard and long bed. Fing BS.
