Upcoming Colorado Events

Well that was fun. Lots of diff grabbers and giant boulders that have shift around all over the trail. Had the most trouble getting around that damn boulder at the base of the first obstacle. Got through the rock garden just before it started raining.

That damn boulder was in the way. I was able to hug far right and get over it no big deal. Being double locked really helps pull the truck over rocks when dragging sliders.

 

I kept sliding down into it, then my gas tank skid would hit and lift me up, rotating me around and turtling. Had to give it a bit of a bump to get over finally.

 

Did you get over the slab?

Yep, walked right up that line in the pic in low low. I wanted to try more to the left where you went, but I was solo and if shit got squirrely there aren't any good trees to winch to.

 

You have dual t cases?? Jealous. Double locked? We will have to get out some time.

I am going to Red Elephant Hill at the Dumont exit off I70 Saturday morning. I’ll be at the trailhead ~9:00 am. Anyone interested?

I might be in for Red Elephant tomorrow. I was thinking about taking the kid and doing Pierson Park, but Red sounds more enticing / I haven't been there for a while. I'll send you a message if I commit.

I’m in breck for a week and would love to try wheeler lake. Would like the peace of mind of at least another truck and someone that’s gone up before. No lockers. If anyone is heading out there next week or is aware of any group rides in the area the week of the 4th let me know. THANKS!
