I was thinking that same thing. I don't have good tires for snow. If this stuff doesn't melt off I might have to bail :(

Yeah, the wife hasn't decided if she is going to come and bring the baby with us, or if I have to find another passenger. I wish it wasn't so damn far for me to drive just to get to the trail. If there were more dudes up here I would try to hit up sevenmile (the only road still open up here, unless we explore Red Feather area). Joey?... I guess we would need someone with a winch to save our asses if we were to get stuck.

Hey guys I learned something recently going through the Stay the Trail Ambassador training. As it turns out some trails could have seasonal closures without having a gate on them. I did not know this. If the National Forest Service is patrolling the area you can get a ticket if the trail is seasonally closed.

Make sure to check out the trail you want to run here:

    http://www.staythetrail.org/mvum/

Before you go just to be sure. I looked up Yankee Hill and it turns out that it is not on the seasonal closure list so it is good to go. :)

Well sorry guys but the wife has the stomach flu and I don't want her getting the baby sick. I can't go bashing tomorrow :( I am off for the next two weeks though and although I have a few other plans during that time I should be able to get out for at least one run somewhere. The closer the better IMO if any of you NoCo guys have ideas or if you Denver peeps are willing to travel or pick someplace not too far.

Hopefully you all still hit up Yankee hill and post up on the trip reports thread. Sorry to bail last minute.

Edit- if the wife feels better tomorrow, is there anyone who would want to check out Sevenmile?
