I'm new to the forum...picking up my newest Tacoma Saturday morning. A Double Cab TRD. Does anyone know of some good trails in the Colorado Springs area? I've done Gold Camp/Stagecoach up to Cripple Creek and Rampart Range. Any others?

Welcome! There are only a few active members that regularly post from the Springs. I think Wuzzy121 or something like that. Have you looked at traildamage.com ? That is a good site for looking for new trails. Careful though, their directions to trailheads are sometimes confusing or vague, their directions once you are on the trail can be bad too. That and trails change year to year and I don't think TD updates their site super often, so be ready to see something different than you read about.
Someone else posted a good site for looking for trail descriptions too. I think it was called everytrail.com but can't remember for sure, but they posted it on the Annual Moab Gathering thread if you want to search for it. The colorado BS thread is also a good place to ask questions, if you are willing to wade through the BS ;)

    Welcome!

Yeah, between traildamage.com and everytrail.com you should be able to cross reference between the two to get a good idea of what you're getting into. Traildamage is great to find trails in your area and has good info, it's just a good idea to look at the date the trail info was last updated. If it's a couple years old then make sure you verify the info elsewhere.

Also, especially this time of year its a good idea to check with the BLM to make sure the trails are open as some have seasonal closures.

drove past there the other day and looks like there should be some fun spots up there...

    view at echo lake saturday
    [IMG]

looking north from squaw pass rd
    [IMG]

other areas...went exploring sunday to check out the snow in the indian peaks region

near rollinsville, a few miles south off the beaten path (that elk rd connects over to rollins pass area. just up the road, maintenance ended and only sleds continued over to rollins pass. would be snow bashing if you went that way over to rollins)

also went over to rollins pass...backcountry is looking good....rollins pass gate is open and can be a fun run...went up it to the first turn and saw some good snow to run through...was the only truck so i flipped a bitch before getting too deep into the trail

Looks like its on for some snow bashing tomorrow! Noah are you coming? I'm thinking maybe cascade would be better because TD says there are fewer cliffs/ledges, but I trust you guys to make the choice on which trail we do.

both mcclellan and cascade are easy trails for our trucks...both have a lot of trees along the trail which will be good incase you guys need some anchor points to winch to

cascade has a really fun optional obstacle which has ledges and off camber obstacles, but it's all optional....ask devin how off camber it can get :D

cascade is definitely wider. mc has some tighter spots in the beginning and up top just before it meets Argentine.
