skinning....aka climbing the slopes with skis/splitboard

a skin is what you attach to your skis or splitboard when you are ascending...it has a material on the base that allows the boards to slide freely in one direction while the hairs on the skins prevent the boards from going the other direction...allows you to slide the boards one way and have them grab onto the snow the other direction...

similar to cross country skiing, but with the ability to switch over and have your downhill gear

Is it just try and get there early as hell and maybe save some spots for other trucks or are we blocking out part of the beach for this?

Any confirmed date of the 10th or the 24th?

I'm guessing the early as hell option... Their website says there's only 10 reservable spaces which fit 2 cars/trucks each with a picnic table but their $175 each to reserve!! Soo, probably not that route..

As far as date, doesn't look like either one is set in stone yet.
The 10th is daylight savings if that makes a difference for anyone...
Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to meeting you guys and seeing your trucks in person as well as taking some runs together..
