Ohh, I ran into you guys on my way down. I can't believe how much snow melted from the lake!!

Sorry I don't have a better picture. But it took us about two hours of shoveling and pushing to get our two cars back up that slope. Now I wish we had driven up to the lake again on saturday or sunday

I figured you must have been on TW. Nice taco!

Did you bring that stock Suburban all the way to the lake? What year was it, like a '98?

I almost asked if you guys were the TW group. My phone died so I wasn't able to look up any phone numbers or get on here.

But yes, we got the burb all the way to the lake. I've gotta give those things credit, got being 15 years old and bone stock.

I was just curious because I wanted to point out to Sean that a bone stock '98 Suburban made the whole trail that he was afraid to take his Tundra on :D

I knew you would! Your truck is far more capable than you realize it is. No, it won't make the tight climbs the tacos will, but it'll do probably anything up to a 6 without concern of damage.

i dont think its a matter of what his truck is capable of doing. its that almost all the trails i have ran would make seans truck look horrible afterwards. The trees are just to tight for his truck.

As long as there is no damage (that we can control) and is Tundy friendly I am game.

I've only run one trail that I thought I wouldn't want to invite my buddy (the Tundra owner) on, and that was Barbour Fork. Twin Cone, Slaughterhouse Gulch, Lake Bill Moore, etc... are all certainly wide enough for a Tundra.

I think your mistaken with Twin Cone, one above the place we stopped for lunch yeah he would be fine, but coming through the tree's up the switch backs and trying to get past this rock would scrap his passenger side like you wouldnt believe.

He just wouldn't take such a terribly line through there :p The line that I took left me at least 12" from that rock with probably another 6"+ on the passenger side. The switchbacks would be fine (there was TONS of room up those). The only places he would be squeezing would be the pinch in your photos and the VERY brief section of foliage immediately following (like... 5' of brush). Would he need a spotter? Sure... Would he get damage to his truck? I really don't think so.

    Edit:
Here is a better shot of the pinch you posted. I think there's plenty of room to get him through unscathed.

ha ha ha, i dont know what happened with that line choice! DANG IT!!!

i have a feeling sean would scrape his passenger on that tree though, he is a lot wider than our trucks and that was a tight turn to get in a good position. we could go back and forth all day though :) im just trying to keep sean informed as to the trails ive been on where i know he wont want to take the tundy. Id rather not be the one to scratch his truck, have you seen him? lets just say i dont want to be on the mad end of one of his fists ha ha ha

I have no idea where you were going with that one either haha. I agree, there are certainly some trails that are better than others. Lake Bill Moore and slaughterhouse are two that I know he'd be just fine on (my buddy has taken his Tundy through them).

A small handful of select mods.
Rocky Mountain Pin Stripes don't show up on white and the clear coat can be buffed out. Just call Sean a *ussy before the next trail run and he will be there. :p

Anyone want to run Bill Moore Lake this coming Saturday?

Or possibly another trail that would be good for me in my truck, not very familiar with CO trails yet, Kelly Flats is the only trail I have run.

I could always be inclined to do a little
4x4ing. Is your taco stock? I don't really
Know alot of trails in Denver, but I live in
Georgetown, and there are a few good trails
Up here. I'm sure a few more people may join in.
