I wouldn't mind meeting a few of you folks. So what's the deal with this garage day, do I show up with a pile of 3/16" and 1/4" plate steel and walk away with a swing out rear bumper? :D

You're definitely going to want a plasma cutter for that job. Grinders are a PITA!

What do you need welded? I only have a stick welder. Beads are thick and there is a lot of heat. Have to be careful with thin steel it will bend it.

yeah me to that and the Lincoln 256 both are great welders im just more of a fan of the blue than the red. that and going from those welders that the school had to this is a world of difference! its so much smoother and runs so much better.

Nice welder. Those are the ones we run at work. We have several different sizes.

biggest issue would be snow...anywhere near boulder/golden in the mountains will be heavily shaded and snowy/icy...

i would suggest heading south near pine...they typically will be drier..

i'll be working on trucks every warm weekend i get between now and april 23rd, so i'm out...

but like sean suggested, check out traildamage and look at the map... http://www.traildamage.com/google_colorado.php and search for suitable trails south in the drier areas

Yeah, started with Traildamage, but didn't see anything with comments on current conditions. I'll take a peek down south. Thanks.
