Great trip today! Sorry for all who missed out. :p

And yes, we conquered Yankee Hill... when the only other tracks in sight were one or two atv tracks. :bananadance:

I want to try and get on the next trip with you all! It was awesome seeing all your awesome rigs up there! Have you all tried any of the other trails around there? I went down Hamlin gulch (273.1) and that scared the $hit out of me and had to turn around

Good to see you also! I was the first one in line.

I've done woodpecker gulch and wouldn't want to try that one when its wet again for the one narrow section.

Today we also started on Pickle Gulch, but it was snowed in as we got towards the top. I'll be out of town for a little bit, so someone else will have to keep up the runs for this month, but keep an eye on this thread for more runs. If you have been paying attention, not much is planned very far in advance... but its worked so far haha.

Yeah woodpecker gulch looks like it was next to the one I tried to come down. Saw a few old rigs that looked like they will never be making it out of there at the bottom.

require, no, but CB or HAM are awesome to have... makes everything easier and keeps the pack rolling together smoothly. You can get a simple setup to at least be able to keep in contact with people on the trail for pretty cheap. Not sure what handheld CB's go for, but HAM is a $15 test for your amateur radio license and $25 for a radio... thats a very decent starting point for communication.

I have really been looking at the ham and that's why I have held off from getting a radio so far

They both have their places, but the clarity and range and abilities of a HAM for the same price or less puts it far ahead in my opinion. CB is still more common... but HAM is gaining traction.
