Just because it’s not gated doesn’t mean it’s open.

I wouldn’t consider trailsoffroad a reliable source of the official open/closed status of a particular trail. Here’s a screenshot from the forest service website. It seems to contain conflicting info stating both that mud season closures extend until 5/31 and showing FSRs 101 and 105 as open (I believe those are the numbers for slaughterhouse). :notsure:

Trailsoffroad is a bunch of guys doing this in there spare time. Everything isn't always up to date. Call the forest service and ask them. There always seems to be confusion with Slaughterhouse every year.

The intent is not to call you a dumb ass. So pull your panties out of that wad. :D
Trail abuse is something a number of us hold dear to our cores and we want to enjoy these trails as much as you.

The trail being discussed is a hot topic among many. At the trail head you will see a sign that states the seasonal closure until 5/31. This helps to keep the "mudding" to a minimum and reduce the off trail bypasses that plague this trail and further risk its permanent closure.

There is no gate. Users are simply asked to read the signs and adhere to the closure. It will not stop everyone and many don't like the seasonal closure at all and choose to ignore it. If the Forest Service was there and not stopping people, then it must be dry enough for the season.

Yeah I know, so do I... I’m not new to this I did my research, just hate when I know something for a fact and people wanna fucking argue for the sake of arguing. I’ve run slaughter house more than any other trail so I also appreciate it
