Jenny Creek (USFS Trail 808.1) is the one which requires the OHV sticker. Jenny Creek (USFS Road 502.1) does not. You reach Jenny Creek Trail by using Jenny Creek Road. The road continues off to the east, but the trail (the one we all know and love [well, I used to until they rerouted it]) heads west and exits at Yankee Doodle Lake.

    :annoyed:

COTREX is pretty darn handy for things like this. Desktop page: https://cts.state.co.us/cotrex/desktop/

We've got a thread on it: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ohv-permit-stickers.475829/ Also, just as an FYI, I saw your independent post and you should be aware there is typically an annual forum group trip (or two) out to Moab in the fall. Do a search for Rock Therapy to find info on past years, but the short version is current organizer has been busy and wasn't looking to put info together until June. No pressure @NYCO ;)

    Official page currently says $25.25.

I knew there was a 'downstream' spur there but didn't realize it went far enough to bother checking out if you weren't actually going to run Jenny. I'm not sure I've seen that COTREX app before - that or it wasn't nearly as 'useable' as it is now. I see it's based on the same GIS data I was working with when I did my mapping of the sticker requiring trails. You should add that link to the mapping thread if it isn't there already.

You are correct! Got my sticker last year which reminds me i need to renew for this year. Partly why i changed my mind running it cause i know not everyone is stickered.

So is this sticker that you're talking about good throughout the state or just certain trails?

Only required for certain trails (in fact that's the designation, must be a trail and not a road), but the one sticker covers you for anything in the state. And note that while it is a state fee/program/whatever, it does apply on federal lands. I did some mapping for it in that other thread I linked.

Are there any wheeling trips planned after the Customer Appreciation Day? A special visitor may be in town for the event and was asking me...

@lotsoftoys is supposed to plan a night run.

By that, I mean that he did it once and, in my personal opinion, should be responsible for doing it from here on out.

I just got off the phone with Keith Carty from Dirty Deeds Industries. He will be here for the event and wants to do a trail run in his 1st Gen 2WD turbo Tundra!
