It is with great sadness that I have to report I cannot make it. There are not many times that I let the old lady keep me from doing things that I want to do. But next weekend I have about 8 friends coming to stay with me for Widespread Panic at Red Rocks and I am going to have to stay home and get the house ready for guests. I apologize and accept a deduction in man points if thats what has to happen.

So out of state or just not near the I70 corridor we all prefer for our 4x4 adventures?

Ahhh, Courthouse Bay. It's all brand new now. The nicest part of base tucked away in the corner over there. Home to Recon and Engineers now.

I just moved to Longmont from northern Virginia. I see alot of you are the north Denver area.
I just traded my jeep in for 2017 TRD off road, i have sliders (real sliders not steps) but otherwise stock until winter.
I am dying to get in the mountains more and see some off the trails.
Do you guys do any meet ups at local breweries or anything also?

you are in the right spot they just had one last two weekends. just two weeks too late. there will be other things in the coming months, but this will be the place to watch for up coming trail runs and events. Facebook is also a good resource too.

https://www.trailsoffroad.com/ is a good source for trail information!

welcome to the addiction of TW

Have you been able to verify all the trails are open? "Feels" like it may still be a bit early in the season, but I have not done any leg work to check trail conditions. For reference the trails are Red Cone > Radical Hill > North Fork Swan > SOB Hill

@Coop68 Posted Red Cone is open.

Looks like I'm too Quick on draw from Coop's post... Maybe just Red Cone for the views and whatever else people want to do.

    Red Cone:
6/16/18 - Thanks to Mile-Hi Jeep Club, Red Cone is now open for the season. Trail is in good shape, really dry, no snow. Please note, you must exit Webster Pass via Montezuma as the snow cornice on the south side of Webster Pass is not melted out yet.

    Radical Hill:
6/16/18 - Partially open. Coming up from Webster Pass, a large snow field covers the road at 4 miles, slightly before the old cabin. Trail is very wet and very muddy. Photo here.

SOB Hill: Bushducks doesn't list this.

North fork is open, we took that on Sunday after Georgia Pass.

Looks like redcone is open according to bush ducks. Radical is partially open.
