I had a video at one point. It was a very minimal amount of air, but very smooth.

    o_O There aren't?

Unless you specifically meant Joshua Trees, in which case nevermind.

Well, that specific road segment never leaves the park (unless I'm mixing something up). You turn off of one to get to Klondike/Marching that if you stay on goes on out north toward the interstate, and if you follow on around to Whale (I don't recall anything slider-worthy, but approach and departure were definitely issues - maybe it's changed or been rerouted, or maybe he meant the part going out north) puts you back on the pavement near Balanced. However there's a junction there with Willow Springs before getting to the pavement. Last couple times I've been there the Willow Springs road was damaged from flood and there were no plans to fix/reopen it. Guess they finally got it done.

I suppose those trees count. I had pines and aspens in my head when I made the comment but I suppose pinons and junipers count as well. I stand corrected

Do you have any trip reports on Longwater? WP just got more snow on Monday and I doubt it's had much traffic out there on those trails.

We were up at Metberry 2 weeks ago while it was snowing, didn't get too bad.

It's definitely going to be a "feel it as we go" kinda run

Guess can call this run “not for the faint of heart!”

    Recovery gear is a must.
    Traction boards or winch
    Shovels!
