Actually, slightly more challenging than just the engine mount! The steel ears that attach the mount to the chassis failed! I'm almost done with the repair, but I had to take the whole front end apart to give myself room to weld everything up!

The ears are only 1/8" thick steel. I'm going to weld them back on and beef them up with 3/16" plate. Then replace the mounts.

That sucks! But I guess that's what happens when you have that major torque monster under the hood......

The Sunflower Mine Trail was a blast. All armor definitely put in the work. Lots of bolder fields to go through and flexy spots that washed out. Also just fantastic scenery. 5 stars would recommend. As usual don't have much for pics but...

Here's a video coming out of one of the washes. Video doesn't do it justice. It's up a small hill and off camber can tell by the truck sliding and my wife's reaction lol

Is that the tower that broke? I went with solid offroad motor mounts. There pretty beefy, a bit of vibration at idle. https://solid-offroad.com/

Update: getting closer all parts nearly in and re-gearing the truck decided on 4.88 gear ratio so I may upgrade to 35” tires. Also upgrading to front lockers. Can’t wait to be on the trail again :)

Oh wow you are going all in. Might as well if it's all ripped apart.

Speaking of getting on the trail again. We need to get something on the books. I need to get in the dirt! I'll figure something out and get it posted.

@KingOfTheNorth and I have a pact if something breaks, it’s time to get it upgraded. This is the biggest upgrade, I’ve done in a minute.

Might be time to head north. I am finally done with my traveling I think until August.
Yeah it is the biggest thing to be done in a pretty long while except that bumper.

Little far to drive for weekend shenanigans.

Help Cisco put some scratches in that new armor!

    Noted, was thinking mid-ish June.

Uhh, hopefully you already know this but you're gonna want to add some bumpstops before driving that thing anywhere, let alone offroad.

Good eye. I’ve got some super bumps sitting in the garage but have been trying to talk myself in to a proper setup. Having a trip on the books will motivate me to button it up one way or another.
