So will see you out there then! I agree, some dirt therapy will be nice and make a new memory of the trail with a good "support group"! Sorry for the unfortunate, but the best thing to do is get outta the house and fill the head with other distractions. Speaking from a divorced guy... Its a game changer when you can find thing to keep you happy and do things you Love to do! Best of Luck, Hope to see you out for the fun day in the dirt!!

Theres another trail to check out called sandman. Pretty easy mixed trail but ne prepared that the tail of the trail ramps up in difficulty. The ending has a crapshoot style off canter drop off. Its a great night run trail

I basically ride my drivers side slider down it. It runs parallel to elvis and dumps you out to the backside of box canyon.

I wont do elvis on my 4r with 33’s. It has a great first obstacle to weed trucks and jeeps out. You can go check it out then hop onto the sandman trail right above it

You wouldn't happen to have a gpx file for it would you?

For this trip we're keeping it stock friendly.

Working through my day as well. I got Janet at home packing up some simple goodies. We are packing light, quick dinner and easy lunch with trail snacks.
Shoot me a text when you hit Florence, I shouldn't be too far behind you with your travel across town. Camp is 1.20hr from my door:thumbsup:

Janet might be our film lady as she might walk a few of the sections. I know this will be an easier trail, She is just nervous and very green to 4wheeeling

Downloaded the map to the phone App, pinned the camp area you mentioned in the 1st post so I'll find ya. Keep your radio handy, I'll text ya when I leave the house!

    Great!

I'm hoping to leave work around 2ish. So that puts me at camp close to 4. I'll have my radio on ch.16. I'll text you with my eta to camp once I'm on the road.

For the guy who barely knows how to use his baofeng, ch 16 is 462.5750 correct?

Also I have one of those fancy pants moreflate 4 tire hoses I'll bring along to share & air up or down if needed. Anything else I might forget aside from stuff like water and food?

Yes, that's the correct frequency for GMRS ch.16.

Shouldn't need to really bring anything other then what you have listed.

I know some of WI folks would rather be joining you. We are under a blizzard warning. Strong east wind and you know what that means.

    Have fun this weekend.
Be safe going up you RTT ladder.

Yeah I can kind of shove it in place and get what I think is some reception, but as soon as I bump the PTT it's DEAD.

I'll bring my radio and just borrow a battery.

Amazon has new ones on their way to me but they won't get there till after I head out.

    Thank you!!!!!!

My pics from today. Really enjoyed box canyon and the run out to Ajax Mine. Definitely need to do some more exploring out there. @Yacob_D @Supr4Lo @Nitori
