I don't have a Tacoma, but lots of mirrors!
UPDATE 10/20/2024 - YES, THESE ARE STILL AVAILABLE!

    Hi Everyone,

We've been getting a lot of requests for the frameless mirrors for the 2016-2022 Tacoma's and even some for the 2nd gen trucks, so I thought I would start a new thread for the 2005-2015 trucks too.

We have three options for frameless mirrors for your Tacoma...auto dim only, auto dim with Homelink® V5 and auto dim with compass and Homelink® V5. These all have the latest version of Homelink® that will work with all openers, current and prior. And if you have a new enough opener that is also equipped with the garage door status indicator option, the Homelink® mirrors have the garage door up/down indicators (these will only work if your opener correspondingly has this feature - see your opener's documentation for more info). On these mirrors, the power button is backlit in green. The Homelink® buttons are backlit white, and on the mirrors with compass, the display is green (sorry, that's the only choice!)

Though these mirrors are plug & play for most 2005-2008 Tacoma's with the factory 10 pin mirror connector in place or the 2009-2015 Tacoma's that have the factory 14 pin mirror connector in place, I have to throw a "however" in there...however, there are some wiring variations on these trucks, so please pay attention to the specific details the various model years below. If your truck does not have the factory mirror wiring in place, skip down a bit...we have kits for non-prewired trucks too!

2005-2008: For those trucks with the 10 pin overhead display connector in place, these trucks do not have the constant hot wire in the connector. So for these, the mirrors are only available with Homelink® being operable with the ignition on.

2009-2011: For those trucks with the 14 pin mirror connector in place, just about all of these trucks do not have the constant hot wire in place in the mirror connector. If you opt for the mirror with compass display & would like Homelink® operable at all times, we can include the wire to add to your truck's mirror connector which you can then tap into the maplight for constant power, or you can have it wired so that Homelink® is operable only with the ignition on. The mirror with Homelink® Connect is only available with the buttons being operable with the ignition on.

2012-2013: some trucks have the constant hot wire & some don't...compare the picture below to what is in your truck. As with the 2009-2011, if the constant hot wire is missing, you would either need to add the constant hot wire & tap into the maplights for constant power, or we can send you the mirror wired in such a way that the Homelink® buttons get ignition power & therefore only operate with the ignition on. The mirror with Homelink® Connect is only available with the buttons being operable with the ignition on.

2014-2015: pretty much all 2014 trucks that have the 14 pin connector in place will have 3 wires in the connector, including the constant hot wire. 2015 trucks...some are wired like the 2014's, but there are a number of them that are also missing the constant hot wire. So on the 2014 trucks, you have the choice to have Homelink® be operable at all times or only when the ignition is on; for the 2015's you have the same options but if your truck is missing the constant hot wire and you want Homelink® to be operable always, like the 2009-2013 trucks, you'll need to add the constant hot wire, which we can include for you. The mirror with Homelink® Connect is only available with the buttons being operable with the ignition on.

Kits available for the 2016-2022 trucks too...for those see our other thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/gentex-frameless-homelink%C2%AE-mirrors-for-2016-2019-tacoma.601284/

If requested, for trucks missing the constant hot wire, we will include a wire with the proper terminal attached along with instructions showing how to add the wire to the plug (no extra charge for this).

And for those of you with a 2005-2015 Tacoma that does not have any factory mirror wiring in place at all, we can send you a kit with a universal wiring harness which you will need to wire in on your own.

    Pricing on the mirrors:
Frameless auto dim mirror with green compass display & Homelink® V5: $329 plug & play version or regular hard-wire kit.
Frameless auto dim with Homelink® V5 & Homelink® Connect: $249 plug & play version or regular hard-wire kit.
Frameless auto dim only (no Homelink®): $129 plug & play version or regular hard-wire kit.

Prices do not include shipping; 7% sales tax is additional in Indiana, +$30 additional shipping to Canada.

We have numerous other options for mirrors, not only for the 2005-2015 Tacoma's, but for the other generations as well as other Toyota's and many, many other vehicles! So if you need a mirror for anything else you drive, PM me, and we should be able to get you set up with a mirror!

Please email me directly if you're interested in a mirror - info@bobsmirrors.com (email is the best way to get ahold of me as I am not able to be on the forum as much as I'd like to be).

Thank you & have a blessed day!!

Do you know if a Regular Cab without a connected mirror has this connector under the headliner?

If yours is a 2009-2014 with the factory overhead console, typically the connector is in place. If yours is a 2015, it may or may not...2015 was the year Toyota started to eliminate the factory mirror wiring in their trucks. And if yours is a 2005-2008, typically on trucks with the factory overhead console, the connector will be in place (for sure if you have the Accessory Meter option; possibly if yours has the non-display overhead console). No overhead console? No wiring is going to be in place...that much is pretty much a definite. Hope this helps!

Do these display the backup camera? Sorry if I missed that info, but I didn't see it.

Yea I have a 2011, but the Regular Cabs do not have the overhead console, so it is just a blank headliner.

My 14 DC TRD Off Road has just a mirror. So there is still a connector in the headliner area even though it isn't being used? Where will I find this connector?

In your case then there won't be any wiring up there, so for your truck you would need one that has the regular wiring harness included.

If your truck has the factory overhead console, then yes, the mirror wiring will be tucked away above the overhead console. I've not run into a 2014 yet that had the factory overhead console that did not have the factory wiring in place. So far all we've seen all had the 14 pin / 3 wire connector tucked away up there. However, if yours has no overhead console, the like ethanfiamingo's truck, no wiring will be up there.
