I had that happen to my old truck, I literally just punched it from the inside and it popped right back out. Wasn't exactly perfect but it did 95% of the job.

Could take a swing at it before you go to the PDR shop!

This might sound stupid but ive seen it work with my own eyes. My family member did this with her van. I dont know if itll work on your roof but you pour really hot water over the dent and then get a toilet plunger over the dent push down with some force and pull out.

Here is the link of the hot water and toliet plunger in action. Like i said dont know if itll work on your roof but worth a shot i guess. Usually steel pops back into its original resting place pretty easy. I mean taking off your headliner like others are suggesting is gonna be a b*tch

For sure. get it fixed by professionals. I would also install a dash cam. Back it up into the parking spot for a while and see if the camera catches anyone approaching the truck. I doubt people are jumping that Taint stabbing fence.

I bet kids. I lived in a condo on the back side of quantico & a single mom marine would let her kids play in the parking lot. There was no playground. I know because I found kid size footprints on the hood & roof of my ‘96 regular cab, but no dents. They knock one of the bows of my soft tonneau cover without opening it. Almost complained to the base commandant.

Good luck, let’s us know your results

yes...the metal has stretched. the more one monkeys with it the worse it will look. seek out a professional dent less/paint less repair person.

I put two big dents in my roof trying to tighten down a canoe before I got a rack. I used the suction cup from my portable fishfinder and they popped right back out as good as new. I thought I was buggered but after they popped out I couldn't find evidence of the dents no matter how the light hit it.
