These roofs aren't very thick to begin with. I put a huge dent in mine while washing my roof with a sponge and using my other hand for balance. Thankfully the roof skin was thin enough I was able to pop it back out by pounding around it moderately with my fist.

Near extinction?? Come to Oregon. I see them every bow season when I am hunting for deer and elk and I am not even trying to find them. Maybe you are thinking of the Florida panther? Which that pic is not that species.

Is it possible that you ran thru an amped up car wash drier. I have noticed there is alot of flex in my hood when going thru those driers. I can't see the effect on the roof as I go thru, but if it is similar to the hood it might not be out of the question you received your dent there.

I had a roof dent similar to this, looked outside my second story window and saw it. I was exceptionally butthurt, and later realized I did it when I was applying a coat of wax. The roof is super easy to dent. I pulled it with a suction cup.

How many parking spots were you taking up? Maybe the fellow who parks next to you was displeased?

Maybe one of the neighborhood kids was climbing in the rafters and used your roof to get down?

Maybe the homeless dude who fell asleep in the bed was trying to get you to slow down but you couldn't hear him over the radio?

Call the insurance company, take the check. Fix it as best you can, pocket the money and then cover it with a ski rack.

Wise, unless u have a large deductible then it may not be wise!!! plus some insurance companies raise rates cause they had to do a payout

I set my deductible to $1k cause i have GAP insurance and they cover upto $1k, i also know almost all the bodyshops around me from 13yrs of towing so getting work done = deductibles getting squashed

If Mountain Lions were anywhere near extinction there wouldn't be a season allowing them to be hunted.

I wasn't discussing Mountain Lions in particular. I was commenting on the endangered means they can't be hunted comment. This particular discussion probably shouldn't take place because it's a hot topic item. I won't go into specifics, but i'm fairly certain you can find where there are legal hunts for animals on the endangered species list. Elephants comes to mind. Again, I won't keep commenting because threads get shut, people get banned etc. Plenty of other places to talk about it.
