You will be able to purchase in Oct/Nov, Carb sticker will be available in Feb 2019. If you decide to purchase before Feb, you will have to call in when its available and they'll mail one out to you.

 

Ouch, I bought my intake from AFE on Labor day since they had a great deal and just installed it yesterday..... It does look good though.

This is what they pulled and it was dyno'd the same day. I don't think they would doctor their work and I'm just showing you what they sent to me.

 

15+hp with an intake upgrade?

Either Toyota really detuned this engine ( based on what came out of the OVtune threads, I think that is possible), or Injen is lying.

Injen is the one trying to sell me a product here, so I think they have the most incentive to lie in this situation.

 

I have to sign on and agree with that. I'm always skeptical about dyno numbers unless they are from private owners. Given a private owner doing a before and after and posting those numbers, I think Injen will sell a ton of intakes. I could be tempted depending on price at that type of power gain, but I'm not convinced I see it.

 

Agreed, I have a hard time believing they gained that on a 100% Stock Tacoma with nothing but that Intake and Filter.

 

Or is OV Tune lying? They are the ones selling a product.

 

Hey man. OVtune is NOT lying. Like over 100 guys on here have his product, including me. It’s the best noticeable upgrade for these trucks period.

 

Hopefully someone will try the intake and dyno it.

 

I have no relationship with the company other than them R&D’ing off my truck and this is the results they’ve provided. If you have your reasons to doubt it, I’m sure its justified. End of the day, the truck feels good and I personally love it. I hope someone can get one for their rig and do a real before and after results on dyno.
