Update:JBA fixed the shipping [$45 shipping for a t-shirt #hawaii]

Ordering my JBA UCAs and figured I'd grab a shirt and sticker while I'm at it. Turns out shipping is $45 extra for just the shirt. Ya Hawaii shipping is $$$$ but this is crazy. Just wanted to support the brand....

 

Can try e-mail them. Sometimes their online automated shipping calculator doesn’t take into effect items like that can fit into a USPS flat rate box

 

That's crazy. Shipping though USPS is reasonable when shipping to US states and territories. I shipped some 1st gen mudflaps with brackets to Hawaii for around $20 if I recall correctly.

Update. The box was 5lbs 8oz and I shipped it 3 day priority from TX to HI for $25. So $45 shipping for a t-shirt is crazy.

 

I figured it might be something like that- built in calculator. I emailed them gonna hold off order couple hours to see if they get back to me but if not oh well need my UCAs asap.

 

You did good packing up that box got a good price on shipping. Shipping isn’t too bad here if it’s packed smart.

I think Island Cruiser is right it’s their built in calculator which I kinda figured. Emailed them asked if there’s room to throw in w UCA lol.

 

I recently got some JBA’s and there was more than enough room for a sticker and t-shirt.

I'd poke some fun at them, and ask them if they are planning to sell their $45 T-shirt line at Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus, or suggest they get a Tommy Bahama embroidery to make it a $60 T-Shirt. That's what I do now - I flip any unreasonable pricing right back at the vendor, with unreasonable suggestions, especially face to face! To the point of feeling awkward.

 

Nobody has asked what size shirt it was.

I ship stuff daily and a 10 ounce package with a shirt in it would be $4.46 sent First Class. The automated weight & dimensions in the store software doesn't always get programmed right. I'm sure I could find items on my store that cost as much to ship as they do to purchase. In our case, we'll refund the difference when it's found to be spectacularly wrong.

 

When I bought my UCA's I asked about stickers and they sent me some 4 HUGE, really nice stickers and a patch. Great product, and Marlin seems like a great dude.

They got back to me changed shipping calculator ended up $9 shipping. but I’m still bothered that they couldn’t just throw it in w the UCAs free lol whatever I’m done debating w them
