I Just put on HID lights from DDM tuning, I will post a picture later when it's dark. And I'll post the wiring and how and what I did to wire it. And I know this topic is :worthless:

Putting HIDs in a halogen reflector is an extremely poor practice. The optics are not the same, causing a significant amount of scatter, which not only wastes light but blinds other drivers. There should be no light which escapes the horizon line, which is clearly shown as happening in your photos. To run HIDs correctly you need retrofit projectors.

This is the correct headlight upgrade for keeping the stock halogen reflectors, and produces better usable light output:

I know, I know already........ "They don't blind others, they have shields"....... " I aimed them down already"..... We have all heard it before.....an arc of electricity exciting salts in a capsule doesn't a filament make. The optics are incorrect, and aiming them down just kills ur scanning distance cuz all the light right in front of the truck is too much for your eyes and its making ur eyes blind to much more than 5ft beyond that massive burst of light on the road.

It fuckin sucks being blinded by HID's in stock housing. Even when they're behind me and I have 5% tint in the back and auto-dimming rear view mirror. I had to pull over. Had to.

yup..... Sometimes I'll pull in the wrong lane, slam on brakes, force them to pass me, and carry on....... Take ur illegal, accident causing, eye fatiguing pieces of crap away from me plz..... And ppl love blue don't they? Nobody who's done actual research on how blue fatigues the eye ever runs those 8000000000K bulbs.

Honestly, OP, save up for a retrofit. There are a lot of customizations for you to make it your style. Unbelievable light output, crisp cutoff and no blinding of other drivers on the road.

Lol! I was one of em before wondering why them line was crooked. Researched and researched and it all made sense. So glad I researched before making the retina-threatening mistake.
