If you're going for stock height, IMO your best bet is general springs in the back, moog coils up front with a full set of 4600 bilsteins. That's a pretty basic setup, nothing special, but you'd be out the door for like $600-$700 or so (less than I paid for just my Deavers) for all new springs and shocks. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of options for stock height suspension for our trucks. You could go factory OEM, but honestly, you'd pay the same as if you got Deavers, lol...

The only reason I'd caution against the Deaver leafs (1.5" lift) is they're really designed for offroad, so they handle weight very well, and they don't have an overload spring. Great springs, otherwise. I still take loads of junk to the dump and whatnot in my truck, but I'm definitely more careful about how much I load in it (I have a utility trailer I load up too).

True, my old man brain forgot we talked about that already, lol.

That just brings up maybe some advantages and disadvantages about removing the overload spring. Like I just said in my last post, I'm definitely more cautious with how much weight I dump back there not having an overload spring.

With how worn out the springs currently are, I'd tend to lean towards all new springs.

Thanks, appreciate the detail. Yeah all new oem leafs are lookin pricey… tough call.

I think the 4600 all around sound good. But I mean I don’t feel the need to go completely down to stock height a little bit of lift is ok especially being that I have 265/70r17s. Full stock height may produce some rubbing or just look a little bit off.

I just want to get this crappy spacer lift out asap. Ideally the rear blocks out too but maybe will have to wait a little longer.

I already have the 5100s and think I’ll probably just go with those. At the middle setting is seeming to be the safest call for now.

Very ready to get these spacers out, remove the reverse rake, and hopefully soon improve the back as well…

Yeah, you might rub a little with those tires, just keep in mind that anything we've been talking about doesn't really "prevent" tire rub, all it does is change where/when the tires rub. Like maybe not at ride right, but when turning going into parking lots (cycling the suspension) they may still rub. So you just kinda have to do it and figure out if it rubs, and address it as it comes up.

Sounds like a slight lift would make sense for you. The front is covered with the 5100s. For the rear you have a choice of either a 1 leaf AAL, the 3 leaf we talked about, or a full set (like the Deavers). I'd say the OME Dakars that are a lot cheaper, but also probably more lift than you're looking for.

So just depends on how much you want to spend right now, and if you want a one and done thing (buy once cry once), or just a basic band-aid to limp you along until you really decide on something, like if you end up wanting a higher end adjustable coilover (King, Fox, ADS, etc...) type suspension.

The 3 leaf would be better, but in the end it's still a band-and when you've got such worn out springs. For ~$200 though, it's a really good/cheap way to improve your springs. Def better than a single AAL. For $200, I wouldn't feel bad if I still ended up a few years down the road getting new springs. In the grand scheme, it's not that much $$

    Quick update for anyone interested:

Got the front 5100s in at the middle setting.

leaving the rear alone for now. Thinking I may just replace the shocks with some new bilsteins to fit the 2” blocks (apparently the 5100s are only for 1-1.5” according to bilstein manufacture)

I was torn between the 0” and the 1.25” setting for the front 5100s. Ended up going for the 1.25 but now wondering if 0” would have been better to get some more rake

what do you all think of how it now sits / looks?

will be putting my snug top camper shell back on soon - hoping it will remain raked or at least level.

Thoughts on the way truck is sitting now compared to before? Noticeable difference?
