Any man who claims to know everything is either a fool or a liar.

Same thing can be said for someone clouting that they "know more than [someone else] ever will". Just be nice man...honesty doesn't mean being a dick. You could have said his arms weren't that good and WHY.

The keyboard is an amazing fortress for stupidity and a lack of common courtesy.

    None... sigh
OP I'm not a chrome guy, but that set up looks sick to me. As long as you have YOUR truck how you want it then don't worry about other's opinions.

I never said his truck was ugly, just that upper arm is hideous, if you guys are ok with settling with less than sub par parts because they "work" more power to you. but I still say that arm is a Frankenstein part.

You could've courteously pointed out what you see as a flaw in the design of that particular UCA, questioned the OP about it, then introduced your background and what (because of your "experience") is concerning you. Instead you made a douchecanoe and paddled up the troll river.

Here's your solution: Just don't buy a LR UCA.
    DONE

OP. Nice setup! I'M ACTUALLY LOOKING INTO BUYING A SET OF LR'S UCA'S. HOW HAVE YOU ENJOYED YOURS?

Truck looks great!! How much lift did you end up with up front? Did you install any top plate spacers?

Wow, quick assumptions from a newb.....classic. Why dont you actually refrain from stupid post like this and learn something here. Light racing actually makes one of the most cost efficient and user friendly UCA for toyota.

Well first off, that one guy just seems like a jack ass and I think everyone else agrees with me.

Second, sweet looking truck! I just put a toytec lift on yesterday and am waiting for new UCA bolts because I didn't feel like tearing apart my fenders getting the orginal ones out so I'll just be cutting them out and replacing them :) But I too have the LR UCA's and I assure anyone who hasn't seen them in person, they're damn beefy and not "frankenstein" or whatever. I can't wait to get them in in a couple of days.

Anyways, here's how mine turned out. I'm quite impressed..

I'm an engineer, and I get what you saying....looks like the machining leaves a lot to be desired....that said, with the sensitive generation we have raised, your post was taken as an attack on the OP. The price we are paying now for all this touchy feely shit :)

You said "It looks like its going to fail". In which case, Youre wrong. THe LR UCA is much more over built than even the OEM UCA. Many things are built for function rather than looks.

Haha, ya I hadn't finished putting the studs and center caps on the front. I was just dying to get a pic on here already. I'll take more when I get it washed. I'm trying to make a "My Build" thread but my pics are all too big so I'm running them through photobucket. And the color isn't radiant red but impulse red. The lighting did make it look pretty bright in that picture tho.
