Update on Transmission Issue from recent TSB

You will probably have to check with the dealer, they should have that info.

 

I'm confused by this statement, I mentioned @smitty99 because he's dealt with a ton of problems with his truck. It wasn't a blanket statement to take any help offered. Also helpful advise might just point him in the right direction.

 

This guy (Dogg). My biggest fan. He literally seeks out threads that I post in to complain or spout off about anything and everything I write. I literally cannot think of one thing he has provided as value-added in any thread of recent memory. I had to block him. It was funny for a little bit but then it just got to the point where it's his obsession. Creepy.

Oh it got really weird when he started asking for "full body shots" of me.

I agree...the dog and mouse are a real piece of work. Milo and Otis.

 

He will say something helpful on occassion but his main goal is to make you not like your truck. Wants you to think that all tacomas are a piece of crap. I have been watching his comments for over a year now just go back and read them. Look under his picture and read the fine print, that will tell you all you need to know.

 

Keep your blinders on its your decision. If you hate your truck then he definitely is your hero and if you like your truck then think about your comment about me. I try to talk positive about our trucks and keep peoples spirits high he try's to lower your thoughts about your truck. I am a tacoma optimist he is a tacoma pessimist. I feel he is entitled to his opinion and so am I. Go back threw the threads and see who talks positive and who is negative. Yes he may have put me on ignore because I have brought things to his attention when he contradicts himself.

 

He stated he was in excellent physical condition but could not make a 2 hr. trip in the truck because of the seats. I am 63 yo and I can make an 11 hr trip in mine and feel ok. I know I am in not in the best physical condition. The asking for a picture was to show me the great pic of what excellent physical condition looked like.

Did he not say what i said was really weird. Trying to make me look like maybe i was infatuated with him. Did he not call me and another twins. I take offence to those remarks.

Is the general consensus that it should be updated?

 

I am really not sure on that, if you are happy with how it is shifting now then l personally would not change it.

 

Had the same issues. Took it to the dealer and they did a software update. Picking it up tomorrow. I'll keep you guys posted on how I made out.

 

That trip was last year from mississippi to northern misssouri close to Iowa line. I don't negate opinion. Theres a difference from opinion and chronic griping.

 

Personally I dont care what you share with me. I have tried to post positive about my truck have 800 post plus or minus someone else has 7000 plus mostly negative about our trucks. If you are a pessimist more power to you. I will remain an optimist as long as I can. I also notice you have no been here long and you definitely haven't read all the post so you have missed seeing a lot of what i am referring to. When you read them all then come back and we can talk then.

 

Not hard to figure you out homie as I just read from a post I just saw. Looks like you like your truck but You dont like me liking my tuck. You like people who gripe about theirs thats obivious. I might be the gestapo. You are telling me not my job to critique other comments but looks like you feel free to critique me. Isn't that king of Two faced.
