Same here but they're not going to do anything about it because they say that's just the way it is. I was also told I just have to live with it until Toyota gets enough complaints to warrant a recall.

    Wonderful....

    Back to regularly scheduled programming:

I had the local dealer conduct the fluid check (1qt low) and the latest TSB flash. So far so good. Driveablity is vastly improved and the shifting seems more inline with other manufacturers.

Gawd, I came to this thread to see if/how T is addressing the transmission issues only to find mostly a trollfest. Glad to hear from dually that his driveability has improved with the new reflash. I wonder when the Tacomas going to dealers will include the latest reflash from the factory? I want to take a test drive with the update.

The latest tsb rev 1 alleviated my truck issues as well. Just ask your dealer to check on whether you have the latest tsb or not. They should look into it without too much fuss.

    No more Turd-gen :)
Happy to hear the revision is getting rid of the flares and cruise issues but are you sure it's the programming and not them clearing the transmission adaptions?
I'm curious as to wether it stays resolved or returns within a certain amount of time/miles

My dealer said it's a normal issue for the tranny, but only with a cold first trip through the gears. ????????

just had the latest tbs done at dealer this am, unhooked my shift-sense-pro before i took it in, i took the latest 2 tsb's in with me, 60 mile drive back on the interstate, ans 30 miles arounf back roads and for once, i had to back off on the throttle and not push it to get it to go, now i have to get out of the habit of putting it into s-mode, because the shift-sense pro in not getting hooked back up... was considering the OV tune, but not any more,, reminds me of my 2015 i had, shifting is smoothe and power is there,,
