thanks for the input, much appreciated.
    - re upgraded alternators.
    1997 v6 3.4 toyota.

i have found by miracle the "john deere" tractor agricultural alternators in BOSCH brand new 200amp at a decent price- the mounting spec seems very close - i have a standard 80 amp BOSCH alternator brand new on my desk, so i can measure mechanical fitting points.

has anyone fitted these "john DEERE" replacements?

which model of "John DEERE" tractor/ harvester drops in, or is the least difficult to fit?
i have a listing of applications.

    many thanks again guys..

    jason

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Here in the USA a John Deere alternator would be about the last choice .

So many other options much easier to find and much cheaper.

but the options are limited here, and at $280 usd its not excessive. a usa high output unit, would be $700+usd imported.
a 5 year BOSCH warrantied new unit at 280usd seems a bargain.
-do you know which unit fitted to john deer would be the correct one?
