You have no issues with yours and you regret buying it? Interesting.

Yeah, I have always driven manual transmissions, this is my first automatic and hearing all these complaints, makes me nervous for re-sale values of the truck later down the road.

Have they found the problem with low transmission fluid resulting in ruined/replaced transmissions to be as pandemic in previous years/generations of the model?

Three out of tens of thousands is a pandemic? Interesting statement.

By your math the second gen had thousands of pandemics, surprised they are still the best reselling in their class

You only know of three. 95%+ Tacoma Owners will never see this forum so consider that.

    That's completely irrelevant.

People without issues will not make a single post about "HEY GUYS MY TRANSMISSION IS GREAT DROVE TO THE GROCERY STORE AND IT SHIFTED FINE"

On the other hand, people with issues are much more likely to seek out info and discuss it.

So many tin hats in third gen. Yikes.

So everyone with transmission issues (or at least those astute enough to recognize them) driving a Tacoma will seek out TacomaWorld to post in the forums? o_O:rolleyes:

I never said that. I said "Much more likely", which does not mean everyone in any sense of the word.

If you're going to try and argue with someone at least argue against the point they make, don't make up your own words and argue those, that's what kindergartens do.

You've yet to make a valid point. The numbers are not in your favor and you've provided nothing more than hyperbole.

Yes I have. You just chose to ignore them and argue against yourself in an attempt to change the subject.

You made a statement that three individual issues equals a pandemic that will impact the #1 resale ranking. My counter argument was that by your logic/math, the second gen had thousands of pandemics....and yet it still has been the best resale value by a mile.

With 200 miles on my Limted automatic transmission I have no issues from R/D or D/R no hesitation. Shifting is smooth and getting 17.5 mpg all city. The drive to work is 3.0 miles to work. I did grease the universals and tight the U bolts. My first Toyota, alway had Ford. So far I’m loving it.

The 16 Tacoma is still young on the market and Toyota will sell upwards of 200,000. There are about 1500 active members online right now, let's say 300 of those actually have bought a 2016 (a high estimate) so if 3 of those have already had to have their transmissions replaced in the first 6 months of the truck being on the market; do the math on that number increasing over the next 6 months. You're talking thousands of vehicles (out of that 200,000) that potentially will need new transmissions and many more that are or were operating on low fluid. Only a sliver of a fraction of the 2016 Tacoma Owners will ever see or post about it on these threads.

Incorrect. It's been three total, not three of who's online at any one time. That's data manipulation. Nice try tho ;)

Three total of hundreds of thousands of owners who will never post about their issues on Tacoma world. Common sense. If you don't have it, I can't help you.

Now you're claiming there are hundreds of thousands of third gen owners already?

Man I really need some of what you're drinking today. You're putting on an impressive show.
