    Just a shout out to Bob... great guy and thanks!

    I ordered a Gentex with Homelink, compass and temp exactly a week ago today. He actually emailed with me to verify the console wiring (2015 TRD Sport, so I have the three wires) then shipped two days before his original commitment date. I got the mirror on Friday and installed today.

    Awesome service, best price I found for the mirror, great guy. Definitely send him an email via his website http://www.bobsmirrors.com/ and go from there. It doesn't look like much, but don't worry about that - great guy and great service. Thanks!

    Hey all,

    Just heard from my rep at Mito Corporation, who is our supplier of new Gentex mirrors, in that her sales are way down for December. So I thought I would run a special on all NEW Gentex mirrors for the rest of this month & maybe get some orders over to her. 10% off all NEW Gentex mirrors - either the Tacoma-specific kits we offer, or the universal installation kits (Such as GENK20A, GENK50A, GENK85A, GENK3345S, GENK3320S, and so on...for more information on these kits go to http://www.mito-auto.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart).

    Now - I don't mean to confuse you, but when you look at the prices on Mito's website, those are MSRP. We already are authorized to sell most of the mirrors for $50 less than MSRP. The 10% off is AFTER the $50 off. So for example, if you see a mirror on there for $399, first take $50 off, then take 10% off that, or $399-50=$349...10% off $349 winds up being $314. Those prices include shipping; 6% sales tax additional only if you are in Michigan.

    So if you need a mirror for your Tacoma or Tundra, or for just about any other vehicle, shoot me an email at rearviewmirrors@csinet.net and let me know what you need - just be sure to mention that you heard about this special from the TW forum.

    I want to give a shout out to Bob too!

    As I was poking around for options, he was most helpful to feed me information. I didn't wind up buying from him, because he confirmed I had found a better deal (from an individual, not a business) and he recommended that I proceed with that purchase.

    Additionally, because I revealed my 'source', he could have swooped in and bought from under me for resale himself. But he didn't.

    I can assure you that level of integrity and customer service are rare items in todays world.

    Hey everyone, I have some sad news to report. I just got a call from my rep at Mito Corporation, my supplier for the Gentex autodim compass temp Homelink mirrors that I had been to supplying to countless TW forum members, and was told that this mirror has been DISCONTINUED! I was completely taken off guard on this one, as this was the first I heard of it about 30 minutes ago - it's not like I was told "these are going to be discontinued in the next few months", no it's "these ARE discontinued". As in now. UGH!!!

    So...what this means is that I am scrambling to get as many of these as I can before the new ones are all gone. I'm not going to jack the price because they are discontinued or anything like that - the kits will still be $299 until they are gone. I am working very hard on locating more, or buying out other dealer stock, or even tracking down some used ones so that there are at least some options. I don't have a final number of what I will be able to get from Mito - should be 10-15 if not a few more, but I won't know for a couple of days.

    So if you want one of these, get 'em now. In the meantime I will see what I can do for alternatives for the future. With as popular as these have been on the 2014-2015 Tacoma's, it really upsets me that Gentex has pulled the plug on these.

    Now - this ONLY affects the autodim/compass/temp/Homelink mirrors; all of the others that are listed at the very beginning of this thread are still available.

    question for you guys that got the auto dim mirrors temp, comp and back up cam for 14 and up was it plug and play? As to where the back up camera showed up on there and temperature was showing? The reason I asked this was because my 14 only has auto dimming and compass. i really like having the backup camera on their and temp

    You don't have the back up camera on your head unit? And for temp you have to run a wrote from the mirror to under the hood

    Hey all - just wanted to let everyone know we're dropping the price on our used Homelink mirrors a bit. This would be for the autodim Homelink and autodim compass Homelink mirrors - previously priced at $149 and $169 respectively, these will now be $125 and $145 respectively. That's for a mirror that will plug directly into your truck's 14 pin connector, plus the wire cover, and that also includes shipping & insurance. 6% sales tax extra if you are in Michigan; $15 additional shipping to Canada.
