I really like this grill with the exception of the 'TRD' sizing. I think it should be more like this...

some great ideas and they look good but in my opinion nothing can touch the Pro/Heritage Grille, it is the single number one appearance
improvement you can make to your Taco

If you are going to design something see if you can factor in the situation I am in, I have a 2018 TRD PRO. I put on a ARB Summit bumper, ARB does warn the TSS will not function properly with PRO grill because of the lower mounting location. I am not huge fan of any of the Sport grills and haven't found an aftermarket that I really like yet. So for the time being my TSS does not function. So if you come up with a great design with the higher mounting point in the grill, I am more than interested!!

Heritage grill refers to the TRD Pro grill. Its called by both names.

I think a combo of some recessed and some flush would look good. All recessed looks too concave to me

Really curious as to why recessed - I feel like it'd look almost kinda awkward like that. Anyone have pics of theirs recessed?

Make sure to retain the TSS and to fabricate a backplate for the "TOYOTA" cut out so we can attach "TRD" letters in its place. I'm in for one if you can color match the bezel. I'll do a mock up for you.

An interesting idea would be to replace the OR sensor cover (with the chrome Toyota symbol) - maybe retro styling/color pattern with "TOYOTA" on it. Whether it would be simpler or more complex, I'm not sure.

(also, peep the MESO mirror turn signals in the wild...sexy)

I don’t have OEM anymore but I don’t remember it being too terrible.

I could understand flushed, but a recessed grill seems odd to have it actually indent towards the radiator.

Nothing for duplicator. You can get custom on Amazon for about $60 for paint and clear set.

I understand you're still knocking ideas around and prototyping, so not critiquing, but curious. Would the path your going currently mean that the outer part of the grill would still protrude out from the surrounding area, but the bar and internals would be recessed (but looks as though it wouldn't be any farther back than a stock non-pro grill) only about the same distance?

Or are you going to kick around some ideas on making the outer parts of the pro grill not extrude so far forward as well?

Looks good other than the logo. that chrome "T" has got to go.
