    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I figure I don't want that coupler to move, at all.

Like you said... If it ever needs to come off, it'll probably be a muther fucker. But hopefully it never needs to come off :fingerscrossed:

A little bit of heat directly on that coupler would solve the problem. If it ever came to that.

Fwiw I put RTV on all mating surfaces, even where it's allegedly supposed to be a "dry fit". Might as well since you're in there.
Heard too many stories about peoples' setups leaking in places it shouldn't be leaking.

Mated the cases again and got all the shifting to work properly.

No... the heims are too big to get the bolt through them and through the arm on the back tcase base. (back of the rod)

Also, if you put the heim on the inside it puts the bolt too close to the middle shifter. (front of the rod)

The back of the rod, at the adapter plate on top of the jshift. Green lines. You can't put the heim on the inside because the heim is too big. The bottom of the heim hits the aluminum plate, before the hole lines up with the hole on the arm that the heim bolts to.

The front of the rod... blue line. If you put the heim inside, the bolt head hits the middle shifter when you move the middle or left shifter.

It's not designed for inboard. That's why I suggested a few months ago to check with Dave's OR. His designed is better IMO.

I was answering a question about whether they could be inboarded... and stating the reasons why it can't.

Your suggestion was made after these were already ordered.

Lmao... the sticks pictured look pretty much just like these did before I hacked them up to make them fit in the stock shifter location

I don't have three transfer cases.

Thanks bro... I'm really starting to get burned out. I'm taking tomorrow off of work, hoping I can make a big push to get this thing wrapped up.

Lots of big projects this winter, taking a toll on me. I'm running close to solo on all this.

    Well, yesterday was big progress.

    Played hooky from work yesterday...

    Got the cases final torque
    Filled the Tcases
    Installed drivelines
Swapped out the 16 in coils for some 18 inch coils
    Fixed the alignment
    Adjusted the front brakes
Got the shifter linkages adjusted and tightened.
Finished the patch in the floor board.

My son had the day off today, so he put the interior (mostly) back together. I just finished splicing the wires back in for the seats.

Drove it to work today (around 35 miles)

No issues, no leaks, no wierd sounds or smells. I'd say we're good to go. Now I just need to get the skids back on and repack the tools the way they should be, and she should be ready for a trip to Hammers.

Been enjoying watching all your hard work since December. You've put a lot of hours in that garage. Glad to see it all come together. Badass rig.
