I think it would stay in place until you remove the plenum lid. Then it falls off making people think it was almost ready to be sucked in.
I have thought about removing mine to see how much difference there actually is between intercooler in/out with and without seal but havent done it yet.

I would definitely keep it in unless meth or 7th injected. No data yet to say how much either of those options cool our intake.

Has this thread gone over the most productive air intake for boosted applications? I’ve seen several different ones on this forum but no real pros or cons between each.

    To end of exhaustion actually.

Consensus is AFe intake, modified URD ram air intake, or TRD gen 1 intake (which also happens to be built by AFe).

Also keep in mind when everyone is talking about the afe intake, no one has tested this new air intake from them:
    https://afepower.com/afe-power-51-76012-momentum-gt-cold-air-intake-system

This is the tried and true one I think most would agree(from afe, not overall):
    https://afepower.com/afe-power-51-82342-magnum-force-stage-2-si-pro-dry-s-cold-air-intake-system

Edit: Also I am sure everyone already knows how I feel about the filtration on the pro dry s filter :)

I just called Magnuson. Talked to a nice lady on the phone. Ordered a brand spanking new restrictor orifice for my bypass valve, since I lost mine at some point. $3.47 shipped.

I’ve got the AFe one. Not s single issue with it. I did change the filter element to a Donaldson PowerCore G2, though.

As did I. Threw the afe filter away

Also curious what made you want to reinstall the restrictor jet?

Sigh... not CARB certified either. I would totally run that if it was.

I dont know why anyone would run without it!
Would you drive your truck with no shocks and only springs?
The bypass valve moves plenty fast with the restrictor jet installed. All it does is slow down bypass valve movement slightly so it doesnt slam open and shut.
Like a little air shock for the bypass valve.
