Alright here is an interesting issue which I definitely know is tied to an EVAP system issue.

I fill up after fueling and VERY intermittently, I'll get an unsteady idle which rises and falls unless I give it throttle. While the vehicle sits at idle I notice an AFR of 9.3ish and a very rough idle. This AFR regulates after giving it throttle of any sort.

This issue has happened to me twice in the last 3 or 4 months. My heavy suspect is a defective charcoal canister which is intermittently allowing flooding of it after fill ups, or an intermittent stuck evap purge valve which is causing the engine to ingest too much fuel vapor after initial fill ups which is thereby causing an overly rich condition only at idle.

Let's see what you guys got. I'm open to suggestions and theories, but I am considering replacing both.

Again, this issue only has occured to me after full fill ups from a previous 2-3 gallons of fuel remaining situation.

No CEL or codes when this has happened.

So, if you need a replacement spacer kit like I did, you can either purchase the Toyota part PTR29-35087 for retail $314 on sale at $220 here:
    https://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/product/trd-thermostat-housing-spacer-w-o-rings-kit/

Or you can buy Magnuson part number
31-90-40-031 For about half the cost at @ $125 here:
    https://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/product/bag-g-4-0-supercharger-thermostat-spacers-etc/

I swear I found a place that had them for the $80 range, but I can’t find it anymore.

If it’s a charcoal canister thing, check my build page, somewhere in the last 5 pages (should be). I replaced my own in the driveway (I bought OEM though from the parts dealer on here). I also posted the 5 CELs that coincide with the canister problem. Maybe it’ll help ya if you need it.

I didn't even know this was a thing. How is valet mode enable/disabled and what exactly does it do?

It disables boost so other people driving the truck cannot take your trucks on joyride and burn rubber.

Here is the instructions @Athlaos sent me, I also had the same questions you do.

It limits your RPMs to 1900, perfect for if you need to get an alignment and don't want someone romping on your truck

Kenne Bell has a built in physical valet mode which involves disabling the bypass valve.

If there was a way to do this physically on our blowers, would be a good mod for those without UCon

I believe all you have to do is disable the line to the bypass valve, though I could be wrong.

Disconnect it and cap off the fitting on the back of the s/c right? Would this effectively keep you in vacuum all the time and prevent the bypass valve from shutting and building boost?
