I thought the new driveshaft fixed your vibration issue?

95% of it, but still had an excessive angle at the pinion. I have a slight vibration at startup and wanted to eliminate that as well.

    The D/S was toast.

    Just more money.

Question- is the j-bung extension intended to lessen the code tripping or eliminate it for good? Trying not to celebrate too early but it's working for me. Nice hard pull this morning with the meth dumping and no issues. Awesomeness.

Peanut butter jelly time...all for $108, more than fair. Although not local and they never called back, still got it done.

Had to adjust again (I over shimmed last night), then verified my work with the TREMEC app.

Everything is now within the recommended angles. Thank you for suggesting it! :hattip:

Still have a slight vibe below 25mph.

I'll have a better idea tomorrow, while headed to work.

Using mine as an example. Very slow speeds (5-10) on a smooth surface, I would notice a bumping or bouncing. As if the road surface was highly irregular or uneven. The next grouping of speeds would be over 70 miles an hour. And then there would be a tremendous amount of rear end vibrations.

    Sounds like mine.

My old DS had excessive wear in the slip joint, causing moderate vibrations above 55 mph. This was resolved with the new DS, but today I had vibs again above 80mph... :anonymous:

Try rotating your tires, to see if the vibration moves? I had a very out of balance tire once. Manufacturer flaw. Found out when I swapped the fronts to the rear.

Concur, just did it yesterday after having vibrations at 50-55mph and it all is smooth as butter now. I am going try checkered flag tire balancing beads only with 37s on SCS 17x9 -38mm, in the next week or so. But, yeah an out of balance tire on the front even slight will drive me bat sh!t crazy.

What do you guys think of this to retain my sleeper look? Not sure if it can even be done to my mirror but it looks cool. Other option would be PLX. Also no gauge pods available for my car so whatever I rig up will probably be ugly.
