I have a 2016 Tacoma and 2016 RAV4 that I'm trying to update the maps on. I have the Garmin Express app for both MacOS and Windows10. When I eject the MicroSD card from the head unit and insert it into either computer we can see all the Garmin files on it - 11.6GB worth, all dated 2015. But when I launch the Garmin Express app it doesn't recognize the microSD card and I therefore can't update it. Any suggestions? Has anyone been able to get this to work?

As far as I understand it, the cards are keyed and can't be updated. You either buy from dealership or buy from Ebay (old card or burned/copy card)

You have to buy the card from the dealership which is something like $160
    Or
You can buy them on eBay for $45

I got the email from the dealership telling me there was an update but thought it was crazy that they charged that much.
It’s like paying over $120 for labor and the labor is just putting the SD card in.
