Hoping to improve the audio in my stock 2011 Prerunner. I listen to Jazz, Blues and Classic Rock so I don’t need a huge sub woofer.

Will speaker upgrades be enough or at least a good place to start or do I need to upgrade my system? Preamp?

    Thanks

The stock hu doesn’t put out much power so just adding new speakers won’t be an improvement. There’s a lot of threads on here about it. If you want to keep the stock deck in there you could add in a small 2 channel amplifier and some new woofers and tweeters in the fronts. That’s probably about the least expensive way to get a real improvement in sound quality. Spending some time reading other members builds and experience should get you started down the correct rabbit hole.
