I really like the Sylvania SilverStar Ultras. Phillips are another good brand

If you buff it out, the uv protection on the lens is gone, meaning it will return to cloudy much quicker than before. I've seen someone post a product to treat the lens with a uv stabilizer after buffing that has to be reapplied periodically, but I don't have a link.

I have Sylvania ZXE's and love them. Had PIAA's, Ultra's, Stocks. And to me the ZXE's are the nicest. Don't want to switch over to LED's

If you want a strait over the counter solution, take a look at the bulb comparison at the bottom of this page:
    http://store.candlepower.com/osnibr.html

Note that sylvania silverstars and Osram silverstars are not the same.

Just installed piaa 4000 extreme white in my headlights. Toyota replaced my headlights as part the service bulletin. Stock run yellow as hell, disgusting and not very bright even when brand new. The extreme white is a welcome upgrade for daylight saving time. Currently run hids in my fogs.

This is absolute best reply in this thread. Color is nothing. Sure it looks nice, but it doesn't at all reflect what you will get from output. I don't know what my next set of bulbs will be, but I'll ultimately figure out what the best lumen/hour/color combination is for me and go from there.

I've run them before, my expectations are tempered. Anything that produces more light will not have the longevity. I had to get something to replace those shit stock bulbs.

I run the street legal version of the night breakers. They are great. They are by far the best bulb I've run.

I've been running these Osram 64205 70/65W bulbs for a bit over a year now. Stock harness, no melting lenses. These are a noticeable improvement over stock. Not strictly legal, but if your lights are aimed properly no one seems to notice or at least care enough to flash you.

I also have piaa extreme white. Much better over the stock bulbs. They typically last about a year so depending on useage. I've read good things about the phillips extreme vision also. No experience though. Might try those when these bulbs die.
