    personally I found the effort to swap out the suspension myself rather unenjoyable and the cost of installation and an alignment prohibitive, so if you’re changing out your suspension a small bump in quality isn’t worth the squeeze and I would only jump up a couple levels minimum. That’s just me.

    Oh there will be some mods all right
    I think you would be happy with some TRD offroad takeoffs. They are less stiff than the sport shocks and handles bumps and potholes nicely.

    The OEM OR Bilsteins would do everything you want. They do exhibit a bit more brake dive but are pretty darn smooth. The 5100 is a good compromise between firm cornering/braking and pothole handling. Plus if you ever decide you want to raise the front you just need to change the clips.

    Im on the 2nd notch at 2.5” lift. Cornering and nose dive has improved over the stock sport suspension. It rides more on the firm side as i am on the 2nd notch. The 1st should ride a little softer due to less preload on the springs.

    With the 2nd notch and it being former, do you get a lot of the “bouncing” compare to stock?

    I just upgraded to the TRD lift kit so I have the TRD Off-Road Bilsteins boxed up. Never abused (that's why I got the lift kit). PM me if you're interested.

    Another vote for KYB's. Had them before. They seem better calibrated for trucks of this weight.

    Post up what Nitro Grappler you are running. Some of those are "E" rated kidney busters.

    What air pressure are you running?

    Tires are part of your suspension: handling, cornerings, bumpy rides, potholes. Stock tires only run 30 psi. When I got my truck, I kept thinking, "this is rough, much rougher than I imagined." Handling was good, but my kidneys were like, "you have to be kidding." Dealer pumped them all to 60 psi! Wtf? Tacoma's are about 30 psi; Tundra is 60 psi. Oops. 30 psi and a much easier ride.

    Yeah.
    Yes, you definitely want C-rated tires. If you did E-rated, your biggest improvement would likely be going back to C-rated tires.

    I’m currently at work and don’t know what load I have on my Nittro Grappler. I am planning to buy new sets of tires. The only thing I do not like about the Nittro Grappler is that it does not do well on wet pavement. I’m going to switch it out for something that does really well on wet pavement. That will be my next question for the members on here.

    I like it. The ride is just a tad stiffer than the original TRD O/R suspension - still Bilsteins. Less roll in the corners and less nose dive at stops. I also got the 17x7" TRD Pro 4Runner wheels with General 275/70/17s on there. I've had taller lifts before, and unless you're in Moab, or a place where you can go wheeling everyday, the trade-off isn't worth it (for me anyway) with a on the everyday street ride. Just my opinion, but it's about as close to perfect as you can get. Taller, and you start to get into other stuff (UCA's, needle bearings, CV joints, blah blah blah). Some guys blow it off, but the factory warranty is a plus.

    RCI sliders, RCI front skid, RCI trans skid, Bridgestone Revo 3 AT, OTT tune, Fox 2.0 rear, Front Summo springs, Truxport roll up bed cover, Tekonsha P3, Meso total tails, rear diff breather relocate. JCW front bumper, Apex 12k winch, bar light. Alpine ILX 507, Kicker DX speakers, amber grill light bar, yellow LED fogs, LED headlights, bed mat, bed lights, front camera, rock lights, dash cam, seat jackers, recovery gear, Overland Equipment Aux fuse kit, C4 bumber braces.
    I went with the Bridgestone Revo 3's because they got good ratings on wet and snow. They have an odd looking tread pattern which turns some buyers off but I like them. Good on wet roads, soft ride, quiet for AT tires and have done well offroad. They aren't as aggressive as many of the AT tires but I haven't been stuck yet.
    I bought the softer version.
