I am looking for the better suspension for a smooth ride on the road. I currently have an SR 4 cyl and have an offer to by the tires and complete suspension from a newer TRD OR for 650.00. I like the tires, but would the Off-road suspension be a smoother ride on the road?

I’d see how cheap you can get the tires without the suspension. If it’s only a package deal though, it’s not bad. Not sure how much in road performance is changed

Progressive front coil springs, OEM reliability and potential for warranty.
Bilstein 5160s/5100s or Fox 2.0 would give a better ride offroad for a little more cash.

I haven't found the TRD rims/tires for less than 650.00. So the Bilsteins aren't any better than the SR stock ones?

I paid $125 for the OR shocks (f/r) and front springs. Gained about 1/2" in the front since I have the 2.7.

At the time I had about 35,000 on the original suspension so it was a nice upgrade. Now at 75,000 and still happy.
