Flip the hoses on this side. Make it function like it's suppose to. As heat enters the cooler..not as it exits...

I thought about bypassing the radiator but as of right now I didn't think it was necessary step, I bypassed the radiator and added an aftermarket cooler on my old Tundra but those trucks were known for the strawberry milkshake. In regards to cooler size, this is a pretty beefy cooler, it may not be the biggest I could run but it was a fairly simple install, I didn't have to make any modifications besides mounting holes to the truck and I like to keep things clean and simple. I also think this cooler is plenty enough for what I use my truck for, if I was hauling a camper then the bigger one would probably be justified.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

I intend to change it when I redo the thermostat, I will need to order another length of hose as well and as little as I drive this truck it's something that can wait.

Why? Heat should enter the top, cooled oil leaves through the bottom. The Cooler does not have a check valve.

Just flip the hose ends at the metal tubing side...

I would say fill from the bottom so you dont get air pockets.

but the fluid lines do not... air pocket as in a high spot / area where fluid will never reach within the cooler.

Correct, the cooler can be mounted in any which manner and either ports can be used as inlet or outlet but as @nd4spdbh mentions you generally want to have your fluid entering from the bottom and exiting the top to prevent air pockets from forming therefore reducing your coolers efficiency. I may not need to order more hose but I would have to look at it, either way I am only home a week a month so it will have to wait until I am home again. I have had that truck since 12/16 and only put 20k miles on it. It literally just sits in the driveway and looks pretty 9 months out of the year.

@caribe makaira What are you talking about? Nowhere on this page did anyone say coolant.
