The total power isn't impressive, but you get a noticeable power bump, and vastly better MPG. That is a win/win. I don't get why this is so hard for you to grasp.

Yes 1 sub model of the new 2021 rav-4, the prime. Have to pay extra for it. Wouldn't be caught dead driving a Rav 4.

Also remember, up until now Toyota has kept the Tacoma slower than the Tundra and 4runner. I doubt that will change.

I'd so rock a slow Taco Prime. THE PRIME TACO! Think of all the fun threads we'd make here on TW. I'm excited.

If the taco has to be plugged in, I ain't driving it. At that point I'd rather get a cyber truck.

Electric components in electric vehicles are much simpler and have largely proven more reliable than their ICE counterparts.

If you aren't ready to move away from ICE, that's your choice, but you seem very uninformed on the topic.

It's interesting the hybrid / electric taco convo keeps coming up. Id say majority of folks want that technology. I don't. That's not what got the Taco to it's legendary status.

    Lol. Yes :D

There’s a ton of different ways to describe a person like that. Soccer dads. Women. I mean... the sky is the limit. I obviously won’t list them all, but y’all get the gist.

You would think all the people who complain about no low end grunt would welcome more low end torque.

Seems a lot of people fall into that category.

What we need is a V8 Taco. Now that's sexy.

I'll take a new Taco if they make it a Hybrid with electric 4wd instead of mechanical. Then I can use it more than just in the trails. 4WD is useless in AZ when you're not off roading.

Clearly you misunderstand what a hybrid is. not only do you have ICE you also have electrical components double the fun and parts. I dont mind replacing parts on an engine what i do mind is the 1.5 hr of removing stuff that isnt a problem to get to the problem. K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid

I'm curious at what rpm it's going to make the hp and torque ratings...but that's quite a jump over the tacomas numbers. I also wonder if it's going to be tuned for regular gas. Also guess we will find out how the 9 speed auto performs. More competition the better.

Apparently the new 2021 Sienna will be hybrid only no more ICE.

And the new 2021/22 Tundra will have a hybrid option if not strictly a hybrid only motor.
