I can't leave anything well enough alone
I have a statement and two questions on this stud issue and the design / manufacturing of the replacements. Please take this as constructive improvement and not criticism.

This picture leads me to believe the stud bottomed out in the threaded hole of the front engine cover, so there were threads sticking out of the block but inside the spacer before the shank portion starts. And it broke off close to the point that is flush with the engine. If this is the case, the stud is/was threaded too far, and the thread itself is the weak point and the stress riser.
    upload_2023-4-24_8-30-53.jpg

It would be WAAAAY better to reduce the threaded length (not overall length obviously, but just how far the stud is threaded), so that the shank contacts the engine cover (no threads exposed) instead of the threads bottoming in the hole.

    1) Is there any way in the manufacturing of these to spec that the engine side of the stud has fewer threads cut? Or, you could make the overall length longer on the opposite side, which would allow me to cut the stud down and allow it to thread in all the way without it being too short for the nut on the outside. But really, the potential problem exists on both sides of the stud, the shank fully supporting the spacers or tensioner assembly is far superior to there being threads exposed on the outside of the block or the underside of the tensioner bracket. The best way to make this stud stronger is to reduce the amount of threads to the minimum on both ends to ensure the shear forces are exerted on the shank and not the threads...

    2) Also, and as an aside, with something close to 20 sets of studs purchased... and hopefully more, is there a way to ask if they can send out, or whatever is required to get ROLLED threads instead of CUT threads? From my observation all the problems here are problems with the threads, not the shank of the stud. I'd pay extra for rolled threads here, which is industry standard for ARP and other high performance fastener manufacturers.

These are excellent points, thank you. I am going to look into fitment with fewer threads on each end to make sure that it will work. Or possibly something like 0.25" less threads at the block end or something like that.

I will also make sure the shop uses rolled threads, and let everyone know if there is any change to the quote, because yes, threads are automatically introducing a crack initiation point.

    Thank you!
FYI rolled threads could be a very different quote and timeline, depending on the connections and desire of people doing the work.

interested to see. rolled thread should be shorter labor times alas reduced cost but well see. Either way great points and great ideas! Thanks @racebug68 and @Athlaos

Anyone want to split the second set with me? I don't anticipate breaking set just wanted a spare/

Would it be advantageous (cost benefit) to ship all the US shipments to 1 central US location and then branch out from there?

I don't mind being the continental US shipping hub.

That would be great, even two sets of studs would be less than 16oz in a padded envelope, and ship usps first class for cheap (less than $10 even across the country). @SUMOTNK could make some money for his time/effort, and we would also save money at the same time compared to the international shipping costs.

A question for confirmed buyers: my shop sent some options for the tensioner bolt. Would the confirmed buyers be interested in that optional add-on to their orders? @12TRDTacoma's opinion is it's not necessary, however I just wanted to let people know I looked into it and gauge interest.

The fastener is an unusual bolt - it has a non-standard flange diameter, so the shop will quote on a run of off-the-shelf fasteners, grade 10.9 with a recessed washer to match the flange diameter.

It's still my stance that the tensioner bolt will long outlive any other supercharger rotational mass assembly fastener because it only sees the singular duty of maintaining a single belt and not two like the studs do. The whole reason these main studs fail in the first place is because they are overloaded with rotational mass not just for the blower but the engine as well that vibrates like hell all the time. That's a lot to ask of a stud.
