I have been reading and researching on the new truck and making it capable to be use for sleeping in. I do a few weekend long Airsoft event and Need my battle gear and camping stuff. I am getting and SR5 , 5 foot bed.
My question is how many have added an extension to the camper shell to utilize the tail gate for added sleeping space? how well does it work?
Roof top tents look cool but for the cost I can justify with only using a few times a year.

    Thank you in advance.

Why would you not get a 6’ bed if you want to sleep in it?

I have another ordered that did not make it through and this was the next available without having to wait another year. And my current is getting tired and one more year may be very expensive soon

Whats more expensive than a buyers remorse on a new taco during these highly inflated times .

I do not regret my 6’ bed. Had I gotten the 5’ that was supposedly the last option, I would be very sad right now. And there’s no way it will take a full year to get a truck.
