What are the best rim dimensions for my Tacoma TRD Pro. I want to ride the 285/75/17 Trail Grapplers and they come out to basically 34"x12"?

The 285/75/17 tires are around 33.8 x 11.22 so you would need to go to 305 to get the 12" wide tire. If you're sticking with the 285, 8" or 8.5" would work best. You can go to 9" but it might lead to rubbing. I have 305's on 8.5" wheels with -10 offset (makes them stick out a little more). If you go with 8" wheels you can go with 0 offset (closer to stock) to -12 (would stick out a little less than mine) or -6 which is in between.

Not too worried about the 12" but more or less if I can fit this wheel on there. I want to order them soon but don't want to bone myself when it comes time to get the tires. I want this Rim wrapped with the Nitto Trail Grap. Just was hoping it would work... 17x8.5 | 6x5.5 | 0/4.75. Getting new suspension this next week and want to head straight to the tire shop after. Or at least asap...

A 17 x 8.5 wheel with 0 offset (4.75" backspacing) is going to be tucked in like a stock wheel but it might be really close to rubbing something on the inside. I think it should work, but you might want to wait until you hear from somebody that has that combination to verify it fits without rubbing. You may want to change the thread title to reflect the 8.5" wheel with 0 bs to see if someone responds. Here's a chart someone posted on here a while ago. I know the 16x8 with 0 offset works with 285/75/16 tires, that's what was on my truck when I first got it (my truck has no front mud flaps, had the flare trimmed a little and has the pinch welds beaten back). Going another .25" in could get the tire close to the upper control arm.

Thanks JL8. This helps alot and your right I may have made the question a little unclear. I don't mind the tire stickin out I just don't want anything on the inside to rub or pinch...
