Hello! I have a 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road and I was wondering if its worth it to upgrade the skid plate. I am not sure about the sturdiness of the stock plate. Any tips?

The factory “skid plates” are brush guards. The PRO’s have something more substantial. If you plan on doing something more than fire roads up grade the trucks body armor.

Assuming you're in Colorado and will be running tougher trails out in the west, definitely get some proper skids. Stock ones will deflect gravel and debris, and that's about it.
