    Hello All!

I am an absolute NOOB to world of upgrades and trying to make the best choices for longevity of my beloved Taco. I have a 2018 Shortbed 4x4 Sport Limited. I've used it around Colorado, Moab, and Escalante with stock everything and I have been able to get to 80% of the places I want to go with this setup.

I recently picked up a rare Vagabond Drifter and I know I need to upgrade my suspension and tires at the very least. As a complete NOOB, I'm concerned about making upgrades that are only frugal to those who can do work on their own rig. While I'm learning, I'm a definitely a fish out of water and don't currently have anyone I can 1:1 on these with.

    ToyTec suggested:

OME-TAK16 - OME Tacoma Suspension lift kit for 2016+ Tacoma

    Falken AT Tires

OVERALL USE: Road trips, 4x4 Trailheads/Crags, Moderate 4x4 Desert (no crazy rock crawling). Would like to keep ease of fixes and gas milage in mind.

    Vagabond Drifter Hardshell ~ 300lbs
Total Gear Weight + People Max ~ 600lbs

    Budget: ~$5,000K

If anyone is bored and would like to weigh in on these or suggest anything else, I'm open to any and all of your knowledge! Thank you in advance. - R

Yo! I JUST drove past you for the first time on the way to work 2 nights ago. I just picked up last week, so it was so wild to run into you a few days later. I was thinking of being a creep and leaving a note on your windshield!

It would help if you described what a vagabond drifter is, how much weight you are intending to add to your truck, and more details about your goals.

AFAIK, the OME kit you linked is not designed to carry extra payload. I think it’s designed to add lift, a cushier ride, and perhaps extra damping capacity.

Are you sure it was me? Last time I drove the truck was Sunday. There are a few other Drifters along the front range.
