I have a 2010 Tacoma Off Road 4x4. It is currently sitting on Bilstein 5100's in the front and the rear. Factory UCA. The front's are set at 1.75 and uses the factory TRD off-road springs that came with the truck. The rear springs are the factory springs as well. It originally had 3 leafs, but I had the TSB done so it has 4 now. I recently upgraded the rear shocks from the factory TRD off-road to the 5100's handling feels a little better but not really that noticeable.

I rarely do any off roading anymore. I mostly drive to construction sites and I drive on a lot of roads in very poor condition (pot-holes). I'm looking to improve my truck's handling over crappy roads mostly and to improve the truck's handling on pavement.

    My questions are as follows:

    1) I'm thinking about replacing my factory front off-road sway bar with a factory TRD sport sway bar. I've read that it is bigger. I feel that a larger sway bar will allow for better handling on roads. What do you guys think? I will probably buy one used from the for-sale section if I do go this route. Does anyone have one in SoCal that they would like to sell?

    2) I'm thinking about adding a rear sway bar. What brands do you guys recommend and where can I purchase it? I'm looking to improve how my truck corners on the pavement really.

    3) I'm considering replacing my front setup with aftermarket coil-overs. I'm leaning towards Icon coil overs (#58635, 2.5 in, non-reservoir) with Total Chaos UCA's. Is there anyone out there that can comment on the performance difference that went form Bilstein 5100's (1.75) to Icon's? Will Icon's increase body roll around corners? I'm wondering if it is worth spending $1500-$2000 if the handling is barely improved.

    4) With my current setup, I will hear a mild "pop" from the front suspension when I drive over speed bumps at medium speed. It will make this sound maybe 1 in 5 times, not every time. It does not make this sound when I crawl over the speed bump. Any ideas what this could be? I'm hoping that Icon's will allow better handling over speed bumps as well. It is somewhat stiff / uncomfortable driving over them right now.

I'm not interested in lowering the truck. I would like my lift to remain at approximately 2 inches. I recently purchased Hankook Dynapro ATMs (265/65/16). MPG is an concern which is why I'm sticking to a close-to-factory tire size and Dynapros are also relatively light weight.

    Thank you!

No offense but you lifted the center of gravity and are not complaining that it doesn't corner well...

I would look into Eibach coils, they are stiffer than stock and take away a lot of the body roll and brake induced nose dive. Save your money on the sway bar, it's not worth it in my opinion. If you still feel like you excessive body roll, then I'd look into the rear sway bar at that time but I don't think you'll need it.

As far as the Icons, if you don't off road, I don't think they're worth the money. They are designed to soak up hits and will be more shock than you need for on road driving.

My current setup, with the ~2 inch lift and Bilstein 5100's, handles better than the factory setup (0 inch lift and factory TRD off-road shocks). The factory setup nose dived like crazy during braking.

I'm looking to further improve on handling. I will look into the Eibachs. Thank you for the recommendation.

The Eibachs are just a higher spring rate so they might ride a little stiffer but will help counter the body roll. FWIW, the Icons you're looking at will likely have an even stiffer coil than the Eibachs. I believe they use a 650# coil on their coilovers which is why a lot of members can get away with completely removing the sway bar altogether.
