Hey y’all had my Camber set to 0 on both sides and got more Caster, Drivers 2.5 and passenger 2.7. I think my ball hoint it touching the spring now, I’ve noticed grease on the coil with a gouge in the metal. I don’t feel it really but not sure my alignment numbers will work now. I have SPC uppers and a RC 3 strut lift. (Not a top spacer). Any advice would be nice, thank you

it is common with stock upper control arms to have them hit the coil when the suspension droops. jack the truck up to check it out. if the upper control arm is hitting the coil that can often be easily remedied by just rotating the coil itself so that the upper control arm ends up in a gap in the coils.

This part of the spring should be facing towards the rear of the truck. 4979DC2E-3E85-48FD-875C-D888BB23F02D.jpg 4564EE03-BAAF-42E1-A742-4FC2B932CA21.jpg

Is this rough country’s install guide? Always thought it was weird the logo faces the rear.

Thank you! In your opinion should I have this changed, will it help the problem?

I’m no expert on that, but I always installed my 5100s with it facing towards the rear. It may help or not. Maybe someone else will give some input.

Shock “should” be central to the spring, so I don’t see how rotating would help as it won’t move the spring further in.
If that’s hitting, it’s hitting on down travel not up, so jack up that side from the frame so the wheel drops, that’ll show you if it hits. But ultimately that some fucked up geometry, the lift is too high for those components if that pic is taken with Trucks weight on spring AND it’s 0 camber.

If your uca is contacting the spring at full droop rotating the spring absolutely makes a difference. Your spring is a spiral so as you rotate it just 180 degrees it moves that part of the coil that is being impacted around to the back and in turn places an open portion of the coil in that spot

Does it make a difference that my driveway is at a super steep angle? It wasn’t this bad until I asked for 0 camber and more Caster. They tried and thought I was crazy

So do you mean that now the UCA fits in between a gap in the spring coil. If so, that is SO fucked up.
