Yep, they updated the SPCs and now have grease zerks. They warrantied out mine when the old versions (without zerks) failed. New ones have been on for 2 years with no issue.

Those are damn good numbers. I can only hope to achieve the same results. How high is your lift? What is your setup?

One thing to note about the jba's is the possible need to get new wheels or spacers due to the balljoint mounting flange projection. Iirc depending on your tire size they'll rub there as it projects even further than the suck UCA to accommodate the ball joint used. Another thing to consider is that the extra travel afforded by them is useless unless you're running long travel or maybe the TC stock length lowers with uniballs. The LCA ball joint or shock extended length is still going to be the travel limiting part of the suspension.

I'm running the SPC and would buy them again. Like was mentioned above the issues with them have been resolved. As for the guy claiming poor customer service there are lots of instances of excellent customer service. Alot of the ones that did break at the frame mount did get replaced by SPC even when it was user install error. They are also a sealed greasable ball joint, don't need a press to remove, and have a ton of adjustment. They are also beefy as fuck. They are much more compact since they are tubular so they get more clearance to springs and tires as well.

Yes some techs are too dumb/ lazy to work with them. You'll need to find someone willing to take the 2 seconds to look at them and see they're pretty damn easy to make adjustments on.

I don't think you can go wrong either way, but Imo SPC is the better choice.

Replacement is awesome when they fail 50 miles into the bush and it costs 2k to get your truck home before you even look at the damage the failure caused.

Still, good points about the SPC pros. That being said I know people personally that were burned badly by SPC and, of course, the installers that put the product on the truck. It’s not fun when you buy a product that should last longer in a cold climate only to find that it’s cost you several grand in repairs. Again it’s all personal opinion but suggesting SPC did the right thing is a bit silly when you read back to what happened to some owners. If they had of ceased production of the problem arms until they could come out with a new design I might have a different opinion. Instead they continued to produce the same arm and allow the same issues to continue to occur.

5100's/885 in front, abt 2.5" of lift on a DC 4X4, 5100's rear with single AAL. Modest but suits my needs and rides much better than stock! Always fought a little pull with the stock UCA's, the JBA's took care of that issue

If they work they work. Some people on here are so afraid to try new things, but they have no issue to joke on others that do try new stuff. Never has made since to me! Plus 600+ $ for some ucas is NUTS

The jokes wasn’t directed at you .

That being said you trying them and reporting back over time is critical for learning. At that low a price though for Uniballs one has to wonder where and who made them. Best of luck.

It says they are replaceable. I wonder what that means. Are they hard to find or a common part?

I say JBA, because it's fixed high caster. Any half decent alignment shop will be able to get you above 3 degrees of caster, because they just give you an alignment like they would any other tacoma.

You can get the balljoints from them for 35$ each. They told me they were made by moog for them? (Dont know if I believe that) but they do seem good quality. As for specs they said that the arms are made to relieve ball joint angle and alow the truck to be set to OEM alignment specs with a small lift on the truck.

    Joe,
Clean them up as good as you can. Then Fluid film the entire area. I would think that would keep that area free of rust....

True But little mess is better than rust just a thought. I'm on the fence ready to grab some JBAs but that rust and my ocd would clash
